一、形容詞比較級和最高級的構成
規則變化
一般情況：單音節詞和部分雙音節詞，在詞尾加 -er 構成比較級，加 -est 構成最高級。
例詞：tall - taller - tallest；short - shorter - shortest；strong - stronger - strongest
以 -e 結尾的詞：加 -r 構成比較級，加 -st 構成最高級。
例詞：nice - nicer - nicest；fine - finer - finest；large - larger - largest
以 “輔音字母 + y” 結尾的詞：變 y 為 i，再加 -er 和 -est。
例詞：happy - happier - happiest；busy - busier - busiest；easy - easier - easiest
重讀閉音節詞：雙寫末尾輔音字母，再加 -er 和 -est。
例詞：big - bigger - biggest；hot - hotter - hottest；thin - thinner - thinnest
多音節詞和部分雙音節詞：在詞前加 more 構成比較級，加 most 構成最高級。
例詞：beautiful - more beautiful - most beautiful；interesting - more interesting - most interesting；delicious - more delicious - most delicious
不規則變化
例詞：good/well - better - best；bad/badly/ill - worse - worst；many/much - more - most；little - less - least；far - farther/further - farthest/furthest
二、形容詞比較級的用法
表示兩者比較：用 “比較級 + than” 結構。
例句：My bag is heavier than yours.（我的包比你的重。）
題目：
1.This box is ____ (heavy) than that one.
2.The book is ____ (interesting) than the movie.
3.My sister is ____ (tall) than I am.
4.This story is ____ (funny) than that one.
5.The new computer is ____ (fast) than the old one.

9.The dress is ____ (expensive) than the skirt.

比較級前可用修飾詞：much, a little, a lot, even, still, far 等表示程度的詞修飾比較級。
例句：It is much colder today than yesterday.（今天比昨天冷得多。）
題目：

2.The boy is ____ (a little) taller than his sister.
3.Our school is ____ (a lot) more beautiful than before.
4.The cake tastes ____ (even) better than the ice - cream.

“比較級 + and + 比較級” 結構：表示 “越來越……”。若形容詞為多音節詞，則用 “more and more + 形容詞”。
例句：The days are getting longer and longer in spring.（春天白天變得越來越長。）；Our city is becoming more and more beautiful.（我們的城市變得越來越漂亮。）

“The + 比較級……, the + 比較級……” 結構：表示 “越……，就越……”。
例句：The more you read, the more you know.（你讀得越多，知道得就越多。）；The harder you work, the better grades you will get.（你學習越努力，取得的成績就越好。）

“Which/Who... + 比較級，A or B ” 結構：表示 “A 和 B 哪個（誰）更……？”
例句：Which is bigger, the apple or the orange （蘋果和橘子哪個更大？）；Who is taller, Tom or Jack （湯姆和杰克誰更高？）

“the + 比較級 + of the two + 可數名詞復數” 結構：表示 “兩個…… 中較…… 的那個”。
例句：He is the taller of the two boys.（他是兩個男孩中較高的那個。）

三、形容詞最高級的用法
表示三者或三者以上比較：用 “the + 最高級 + 范圍（in/of...）” 結構。
例句：He is the tallest student in our class.（他是我們班最高的學生。）；This is the most delicious food of all the dishes.（這是所有菜肴中最美味的食物。）
題目：

“one of the + 最高級 + 復數名詞” 結構：表示 “最…… 之一”。

形容詞最高級前可以有修飾語：如 by far, the first, the second 等。
