“The learning pyramid” shows that most students only remember 5% from lectures(講授). They remember 10% of what they read from textbooks, but get nearly 90% of what they learn by teaching others.
The most common form of teaching others is peer tutoring(同伴輔導(dǎo)). It means that students teach each other and help each other. Peer tutoring is popular because it makes learning more exciting and it makes people feel like they are part of a team. Also, it makes them satisfied when their partners make progress.
To do peer tutoring, students can take turns (輪流) being the teacher. The teacher explains a subject, and the student tries to understand it. If the student doesn’t get it right away, the teacher helps him understand it. It’s important to ask questions and give positive feedback (積極反饋) to each other. Then, they can both learn and have fun at the same time.
Peer tutoring is really good for our brains because it helps us remember things better. When we teach others, we have to think really hard about the knowledge to make sure we explain it right and make it easy to understand. And when others teach us, we need to listen carefully and try to understand what they’re saying. This helps us learn better.

Today I’d like to share a way of learning that I just learned from an article. It’s called “peer tutoring”.
