Step 1 Leading in
　　Greet the class and review the forms of communication they learnt in the last class.Ask students to recall some forms and make sentences using them.
Step 2 Work on 2a
1.Ask students to listen to the conversation and fill in the blanks.
2.Check the answers and have students read the conversation aloud.
Step 3 Work on 2b-2c
1.Ask students to read the conversation in 2a and answer the questions in 2b.
2.Then ask students to talk about how they communicate with different people in their life and complete the chart in 2c.
3.Check the answers and explain some useful language points in the conversation.
Step 4 Work on Pronunciation 2
1.Ask students to listen and read the sentences,noticing the linking,stress,intonation,and pauses.
2.Ask students to listen again and practise speaking with the correct linking,stress,intonation,and pauses.
Step 5 Work on 2d-2e
1.Ask students to listen to the conversation again and role play it in pairs,paying attention to the linking,stress,intonation,and pauses.
2.Then ask students to choose a situation from 2e and make up a conversation using the expressions in the box.
3.Choose several groups to share their conversations with the class.Give them some positive feedback.

　　通過本節課的聽說練習,學生對交流話題的理解進一步加深,對 if 引導的條件狀語從句的運用也有所進步。但在口語表達中,部分學生在句子的連讀、重音和語調方面仍存在問題,需要在后續教學中加強模仿和訓練。同時,在小組活動中,部分學生參與度不夠高,需要進一步引導和鼓勵,讓每個學生都能積極參與到課堂活動中來。

一、單元內容分析
本單元屬于 “人與社會” 主題范疇,涉及 “社會服務與人際溝通” 主題群。通過探索不同的交流形式、描述人們的交流方式、討論當前和未來的交流情境以及學習提升交流技巧的方法,學生能夠學習相關詞匯、句型和語法知識,提升語言運用能力,同時增強人際交往和溝通的意識。
Section A部分主要引導學生了解不同的交流形式,通過聽說讀寫活動熟悉常見的交流方式表達,掌握 if引導的條件狀語從句:零條件句和第一條件句的用法,并學習成音節及句子的連讀、重音、語調、停頓等語音知識。
Section B部分則側重于探討如何更好地交流。通過閱讀文章學習提升交流技巧的方法,引導學生深入思考交流的重要性,學會用英語描述交流場景和表達自己的交流經驗。
二、單元教學目標

1.Greet the class.Share some short videos about people having good conversations or bad conversations to lead in the topic.
2.Ask students to share their experiences of having good or bad conversations with their classmates.
Step 2 Work on 1a-1c
1.Ask students to think about what they talk about when they meet someone for the first time and share their ideas with a partner.
2.Ask students to read the text How to Make a Better Conversation and answer the questions in 1b.
3.Check the answers and ask students to summarize the tips for making a better conversation.Then ask them to complete the table in 1c.
4.Check the answers and explain some important language points in the text.
Step 3 Work on 1d-1e
1.Ask students to find out what the pronouns in bold refer to in 1d.Let them discuss with their partners.
2.Invite several students to share their answers in class and correct any mistakes.Then ask students to discuss the questions in 1e,for example,what makes a good listener and other tips for better communications.
Step 4 Work on 2a-2c
1.Ask students to add the proper suffix to each word in brackets in 2a to make a new word and complete the sentences.
2.Ask students to complete the sentences with the phrases in the box in 2b.Then check the answers and ask students to make their own sentences with these phrases.
3.Ask students to complete the sentences with the correct forms of the words in the box in 2c and put the sentences in the correct order to make a short passage.Then check the answers.
Step 5 Work on 3a-3b
1.Ask students to read the invitation letter in 3a and underline the date,time,place,and topic of the speech.
2.Then ask students to decide whether each sentence is the opening or the closing for an invitation letter.
3.Check the answers together and explain some important language points.
Step 6 Work on 3c
1.Let students write an invitation letter according to the requirements in 3c.Walk around to monitor students’ progress and offer help if necessary.
2.Select a few students to share their invitation letters with the class.After each sharing,encourage the rest of the class to give positive feedback and suggestions.
3.Summarize the common problems found in students’ writings and give some tips on how to improve their writing skills,such as the use of correct grammar,clear organization,and appropriate expressions.

　　本課時為閱讀和寫作課。學生在閱讀和討論與交流相關的內容時表現出較高的積極性,但在表達自己對交流技巧的理解和感受時,部分學生存在表達不清晰、不深入的問題。后續應加強引導,提供更多相關的詞匯和表達方式,幫助學生提升語言表達能力。在寫作方面,部分學生對邀請函的格式掌握不夠準確,文章內容不夠豐富,邏輯不夠清晰。后續教學應注重引導學生熟悉邀請函的格式,豐富寫作內容,合理組織文章結構,使文章更加有條理。

Step 1 Leading in
1.Greet the class and review the importance of communication by asking students to share their new understandings.
2.Introduce the task of telling a chain story and the goals students can achieve through it,such as improving language skills and creativity.
Step 2 Work on 4a-4b
1.Divide students into groups.Ask each student in the group to write one sentence beginning with “If...” on their own piece of paper.Then ask them to put all the pieces of paper into a box or jar.
2.The first person in the group picks one and reads it aloud.Others then add “if” sentences to continue the story.
Step 3 Work on 4c-4d
1.Ask students to take turns to add sentences until the story ends naturally.Each story should include at least five sentences.When a story ends,they should pick another piece of paper and take turns to tell the next story.
2.Select several groups to report their stories to the class.
3.After each presentation,the other students can give comments and suggestions.
Step 4 Work on Reflecting
1.Let students answer the questions in Reflecting.Know about what forms of communication they often use,which form works the best for them,and what they will do to improve their communication skills.
2.Ask students to share their answers with the class.
3.Give some suggestions and exercises for improvement according to the students’ answers,such as providing more reading materials about communication for students to improve their language input.

1.Divide students into pairs.Let them imagine they are phoning a friend from the UK and want to invite the friend to visit China.Then let them make up a conversation about what they both will do.
2.Invite several pairs to share their conversations with the class.
Step 5 Work on Pronunciation 1
1.Ask students to listen and repeat the words in the table,focusing on the pronunciation of / pl/,/ kl/,/ tl/,/ bl/,/ gl/,/ dl/,/ fn/,/ sn/,/ tn/,/ vn/,/ zn/,/ dn/.
2.Then ask them to find more words with the same endings in the textbook and read them aloud.

1.Ask students to read the sentences with if clauses in 3a.Let them find more sentences with if clauses in Section A.
2.Ask students to discuss the structure and usage of if clauses in different sentences.Explain the rules of tense in if clauses to students.
Step 3 Work on 3b
1.Ask students to match the two parts to make sentences in 3b.
2.Check the answers.Then ask students to read the complete sentences aloud and explain the meaning of each sentence.
Step 4 Work on 3c
1.Ask students to fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the verbs in brackets in 3c.
2.After they finish filling,ask students to discuss what the situations are and whom the information is for.Then ask some students to share their answers and ideas with the class.
