關鍵特征包括:邏輯路標詞:比如 however, therefore, for example, besides, on the other hand, in conclusion 等。 代詞:比如 this, that, these, those, it, such, he, she, they 等。 / on one hand... on the other hand... / not only... but also... 找 however, but, yet, unfortunately, instead, on the contrary, by contrast, rather than 等。 找 therefore, thus, as a result, so, for this reason, because, since 等。 找 also, besides, furthermore, moreover, in addition, what's more, similarly, meanwhile, then 等。 找 for example, for instance, such as, take... as an example, a case in point is that 等。 找 that is (to say), in other words, to put it simply, namely 等。 找 in conclusion, to sum up, in a word, all in all, in short 等。 An Unsung HeroNeed a break between classes or just a quick pick-me-up in the morning The College Cafe has just that, and more. _____36_____Catherine Murphy, a cafe worker in a green shirt and black hat, makes sure that each customer gets exactly what they order. She goes back and forth between machines to make the drinks. _____37_____ As the customer grabs the drink from her hand, she smiles and says, “Hello, how is your day ” Even when the line is getting longer, she doesn’t let it get in the way of her genuine conversations.Murphy gets up at a quarter to five and drives thirty minutes every day to get to work on time. _____38_____ “I do so because I like to make coffee for the students. I know they need it in the morning,” Murphy said. Being a mother and wife has helped her become the woman she is. She believes she is here to serve. One thing Murphy may not know is that her smile is contagious (有感染力) and can be the difference in a student having a much better day than they were having before seeing her. Joanna Wright, a senior political science major, loves coffee and goes to the cafe at least six days a week. _____39_____ “Catherine always has a huge smile on her face, which always puts me in a cheerful mood,” Wright said.“I enjoy working in the cafe,” Murphy said. _____40_____ She has every intention of staying and continuing doing what she loves.A. The cafe closes at 9 pm every day.B. She has two children aged eight and four.C. Sometimes she arrives early to serve the students early.D. Psychologist Robert Turner wrote about this in his book, The Life Cycle, mentioning a stage when kids learn self-direction and mastery. 1But Turner’s other cycles are just as important. 2 If these life cycles are delayed, interrupted, or denied, you feel incapable of accessing your states of self, controlling unpleasant feelings, and manipulating (操控) the energy that puts together the fabric of your inner world.Turner wisely said that “doing well” psychologically is being able to roll with the flow of emotions, manage them, communicate clearly and well with others, and master various skills. This requires an internal locus (核心) of control, which implies self-control of your thoughts, feelings, and actions. 3 You’re self-directed and not reliant on the world to tell you who you are. And you know who you are within all this. So, being an adult isn’t just holding a job. Being an adult is about having a rooted sense of self while being capable of identifying and managing your emotions and actions. 4 We are a social species, so this is important. While raising an adult is a parent’s job, it’s also our responsibility as a society to ensure that we support schools that nurture (培養) emotional and identity development. 5A.It’s also our job to support adults who need help repairing incomplete life cycles.B.They talk about someone’s inability to support themselves through work.C.It’s being able to show understanding when communicating with others.D.In other words, you’re playing the game of life — life isn’t playing you.E.They teach emotional awareness and management as well as identity.F.You feel like an 18-year old, especially when playing 80s music.G.When this stage is denied it creates a sense of insecurity.【答案】1.G 2.E 3.D 4.C 5.A【導語】本文是一篇議論文,文章主要探討了成年人的定義及其所需具備的特質,并強調了社會在培養成年人方面的責任。1.由上文“As Alice Black points out, today’s parents’ fear of letting kids do more housework has added to their inability to feel competent and, thus, confident in themselves. Psychologist Robert Turner wrote about this in his book, The Life Cycle, mentioning a stage when kids learn self-direction and mastery. G選項“When this stage is denied it creates a sense of insecurity. 2.由上文“But Turner’s other cycles are just as important. 以及下文“If these life cycles are delayed, interrupted, or denied, you feel incapable of accessing your states of self, controlling unpleasant feelings, and manipulating (操控) the energy that puts together the fabric of your inner world. This requires an internal locus (核心) of control, which implies self-control of your thoughts, feelings, and actions. D選項“In other words, you’re playing the game of life — life isn’t playing you. 4.由上文“So, being an adult isn’t just holding a job. (你甚至可能會發現你的孩子有你以前不知道的天賦)”中的“learn that your kid has talent”體現“Everyone brings something unique”,且“in a new way”對應“發現孩子未知天賦”的新穎體驗,銜接上下文。故選F項。(三)(2025·浙江·高考真題)One of the most common mistakes in communication is trying to do too much. 11 There’s no value in delivering any kind of communication, whether written, spoken, formal, or informal, if the message doesn’t come across clearly. Being clear and brief — while maintaining interest and including everything your listeners need to know — is a high-level communication skill. Here are some tips worth following in order to communicate more effectively.Keep your audience in mind.Your audience will naturally be more interested and engaged when you tailor your communications to their interests. 12 This will engage their desire to understand and interact with the information.Don’t use ten words when one will do.Even the most engaged and committed audience will eventually get bored. Keeping your message simple and clear will make it easier for people to understand. 13 However, they’re hearing it for the first time. Keep it simple.14If you’ve ever worked as an instructor, manager, trainer or coach, you’ll know that there are few better ways to learn new information than to teach it. Ask the audience to contribute their ideas or to take a role in explaining new concepts and policies to others. Allow them to lead discussions and meetings to develop their communication skills.Consider the best method to deliver your message. If the information you’re communicating isn’t urgent, consider sending an email. Written communication will give your audience more time to review it, think it over, and follow up with questions. 15 Building effective communication skills takes time, but the effects are worth the effort.A.Be patient.B.Get the audience involved.C.The best messages are often simple.D.Speak directly to what matters to them.E.You may be surprised by what your listeners offer.F.It will also give them a handy record to refer back to.G.As the speaker, you already know what you’re going to say.【答案】11.C 12.D 13.G 14.B 15.F【導語】本文是一篇說明文。 11.上文“One of the most common mistakes in communication is trying to do too much.(溝通中最常見的錯誤之一就是試圖做得太多)”指出“做得太多”是溝通中易犯的錯誤,C選項“The best messages are often simple.(最好的信息往往是簡單的)”承接上文,明確正確溝通方法,即不要“做得太多”,要避免復雜,追求簡單,句中“simple”與上文“too much”形成對比。故選C項。12.上文“Your audience will naturally be more interested and engaged when you tailor your communications to their interests.(當你根據受眾的興趣來調整你的溝通內容時,他們自然會更感興趣、更投入)”強調要迎合受眾興趣,D選項“Speak directly to what matters to them.(直接談論對他們重要的事情)”進一步說明了具體做法,即直接針對受眾關心的事情進行交流,與上文邏輯一致。故選D項。13.下文“However, they’re hearing it for the first time.(然而,他們是第一次聽到這些)”與設空句之間是轉折關系。G選項“As the speaker, you already know what you’re going to say.(作為演講者,你已經知道你要說什么了)”與下文構成轉折,演講者自己熟悉內容,但聽眾是初次接觸,同時,句中“what you’re going to say”與下文中指示代詞“it”構成指代關系,上下文邏輯連貫。故選G項。14.下文“If you’ve ever worked as an instructor, manager, trainer or coach, you’ll know that there are few better ways to learn new information than to teach it. Ask the audience to contribute their ideas or to take a role in explaining new concepts and policies to others.(如果你曾經當過導師、經理、培訓師或教練,你就會知道,沒有比教別人更好的學習新信息的方法了。 15.上文“If the information you’re communicating isn’t urgent, consider sending an email. Written communication will give your audience more time to review it, think it over, and follow up with questions.(如果你傳達的信息不緊急,考慮發電子郵件。 (四)(2024·新課標Ⅱ卷·高考真題)Overtourism Is For Real: How Can You Help Travel promotes understanding, expands our minds, makes us better people, and boosts local economies and communities, but the rapid growth of travel has led to overtourism in certain regions and destinations. 16 Certainly not. The loss of what travel offers would be unacceptable in today’s world. Here are some tips on making wise decisions to minimize pressure on the places we visit and improve our experience.●Choose mindfully. Overvisited destinations are that way for a reason: they’re special. With so many online posts featuring the same places, it’s easy to feel like you’re missing out. Go somewhere only when the landscape, culture or food deeply draws you. 17●Get creative. The best way to ease pressure on over-touristed destinations is to go somewhere else. Though overtourism is described as a problem affecting the entire world, it’s actually concentrated to a small number of extremely popular spots. That means you have tons of less-visited options to choose from. 18 Why not try a regional alternative or check out a popular destination’s lesser-known sights ● 19 Minimize impact and maximize experience by skipping major holidays or rush hour. You’ll compete with fewer tourists, save money, experience a different side of a popular place, and boost the economy when tourism is traditionally slower.Visiting a place that others call home is a privilege (榮幸). Do your part to preserve what makes a destination special in the first place. 20 You may be amazed how much closer you’ll feel to the people there.A.Visit during off-peak times.B.So, should we stop traveling C.Travel for you and no one else.D.Can overtourism be avoided then E.You can still find relatively undiscovered places.F.You’ll find yourself virtually alone, or close to it.G.Consider giving back to the communities you’re visiting.【答案】16.B 17.C 18.E 19.A 20.G【導語】本文為一篇說明文,介紹了如何避免“過度旅游”的現象。16.前文“Travel promotes understanding, expands our minds, makes us better people, and boosts local economies and communities, but the rapid growth of travel has led to overtourism in certain regions and destinations.(旅游促進理解,擴展我們的思想,使我們成為更好的人,促進當地經濟和社區,但旅游業的快速發展導致了某些地區和目的地的過度旅游)”表明旅游帶來了一些問題,后文“The loss of what travel offers would be unacceptable in today’s world.(在當今世界,失去旅行所能提供的東西將是不可接受的)”表示不能失去旅行,結合后文“Certainly not.(當然不)”可知,空處提問能否停止旅行,B選項“那么,我們應該停止旅行嗎?” 17.前文“Overvisited destinations are that way for a reason: they’re special. Even with modern tools like BDS, it’s still useful to have basic navigation skills. 26 . If you master these skills, you’ll be able to navigate your way with confidence. Here’s how to get started.27 , such as the way to the park you often visit. With an adult, take a slightly different path to get there. Pay attention to visual signs along the way. Without digital tools, use the clues to find your way back to your starting point. In an adult’s company, you can step out in your local neighborhood or town to look for the landmarks. 28 . When you see hills in the distance or a tall building, ask a trusted adult if the landmark is to the north, south, east, or west of where you’re standing. Practice identifying landmarks on your own when visiting new towns and cities. Many cities have streets arranged in a grid (網格) layout. Take American cities — Chicago, Denver, Miami — for example. 29 . Notice how the streets in the layout may be named according to a theme, like numbers or the name of US presidents. Suburban streets may also have a pattern, like being named for US states.Another way to boost your navigation skills is to use creative stories to know where you are. To remember a crossing like the place where Prince Street and Elizabeth Street cross, you might remember it this way: “A prince met Elizabeth.” You can also connect details to street names; for example, Main Street is where the main stores in town are or Lakeside Drive is by the water. 30 .A.You can rely on your cellphone for directionsB.After all, you won’t always have a digital mapC.Start building navigation skills with a familiar routeD.Memorize the street names in your city before startingE.They can help determine which direction you’re facingF.Their streets follow a pattern of north to south and east to westG.You’ll create a mental map and feel more confident of navigating【答案】26.B 27.C 28.E 29.F 30.G【導語】本文是一篇說明文。 26.根據空前的“Even with modern tools like BDS, it’s still useful to have basic navigation skills.(即使有像北斗這樣的現代工具,掌握基本的導航技能仍然是有用的)”以及空后的“If you master these skills, you’ll be able to navigate your way with confidence.(如果你掌握了這些技能,你就能自信地導航了)”可知,此處應說明掌握基本導航技能的原因,B選項“After all, you won’t always have a digital map (畢竟,你不會總能有電子地圖)”符合語境,解釋了為什么即使有現代工具,基本導航技能仍有用。故選B項。27.根據空后的“such as the way to the park you often visit. Whether you’ re an experienced gardener or a beginner, a well- maintained herb garden can enhance your cooking, add beauty to your space, and even provide a sense of relaxation. 31 By following these practical steps, you can create a thriving herb garden that will serve you well for seasons to come.32 The first crucial step is choosing the right location for your herb garden. Most herbs thrive in full sunlight, requiring at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight per day. However, some herbs like mint and parsley can tolerate partial shade. Consider the amount of sunlight your chosen spot receives throughout the day. 33 If you live in an area with strong winds, find a sheltered location or use windbreaks to protect your delicate herbs.Select the herbs that suit your needs and growing conditions. Think about which herbs you use most frequently in your cooking. Basil, thyme, rosemary, and oregano are popular choices for enhancing the flavor of Italian dishes. 34 If you have limited space, opt for compact varieties or herbs that can be grown in containers. Also, take into account your local climate. Some herbs are more cold- hardy, while others prefer warmer temperatures.Prepare the soil properly before planting. Herbs generally prefer well- drained soil that is rich in organic matter. You can improve the soil quality by adding compost, aged manure, or peat moss. 35 This helps the roots of the herbs grow easily. Avoid using heavy, clay- like soil that can retain too much water and cause the roots to rot. With the right planning and care, your DIY herb garden will not only provide you with a bountiful supply of fresh herbs but also become a delightful addition to your home.A.However, it’s important to ensure good air circulation around the plants as well.B.Lavender, on the other hand, is not only great for baking but also has a soothing aroma.C.But achieving a successful herb garden requires careful planning and the right techniques.D.Use a garden fork or tiller to loosen the soil to a depth of about 8-10 inches.E.Determine the size of your garden based on the available space and the number of herbs you want to grow.F.Also, consider the proximity to a water source, as regular watering is essential for herb growth.G.Make sure to space the plants according to their mature size to prevent overcrowding.【答案】31.C 32.E 33.F 34.B 35.D【導語】本文是一篇說明文。 31.根據空前的“Whether you’re an experienced gardener or a beginner, a well-maintained herb garden can enhance your cooking, add beauty to your space, and even provide a sense of relaxation. While ancient ethical frameworks, emerging from both Chinese and Greek intellectual traditions, envisioned a unified system of moral principles, such visions remained confined within regional boundaries that stifled their global resonance. 36 It was not until the Enlightenment that thinkers, drawing upon rationalist philosophies, crystallized concepts of rights around the twin pillars of liberty and equality, embedding these ideals in revolutionary charters that would later shape modern political systems. 37 This inherent contradiction — between universal aspirations and cultural particularism — intensified throughout the 20th century. Even as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) emerged as a symbol of global consensus, 38 The Vienna Declaration, crafted in response to this ideological impasse, sought a middle ground by acknowledging the legitimacy of cultural distinctiveness within the broader framework of universal norms. Contemporary debates, which continue to reverberate in academic and political spheres, reflect this enduring dialectic between unity and diversity. 39 Amidst these debates, philosopher Kwame Appiah’s concept of “contamination” offers a compelling path forward: 40A.Globalization, which dismantled geographical barriers and facilitated cross-cultural exchange, later exposed the limitations of these parochial visions that had once seemed self-sufficient. B.It suggests that authentic universality, far from arising from enforced uniformity, emerges through the organic hybridization of disparate value systems that engage in dialogue rather than confrontation.C.The 1993 Vienna Declaration, contrary to its intended purpose, marked a regression by prioritizing cultural diversity at the expense of fundamental human rights. D.The institutionalization of rights through the UDHR, rather than resolving conflicts, unexpectedly perpetuated longstanding ideological disagreements that divided global communities. E.Enlightenment ideals thus bore a dual legacy: they held emancipatory potential to liberate individuals from oppressive structures, yet they also carried the imprint of Eurocentric hegemony that sidelined alternative worldviews. F.Critics have rightly asserted that current universal norms, despite their claims to inclusivity, remain disproportionately shaped by Western paradigms that reflect the historical dominance of European powers. G.Cold War politics, which fractured the post-war global order, shattered this fragile unity by reducing rights to ideological pawns — either political liberties championed by the West or socioeconomic entitlements advocated by socialist states. 36.根據上文“While ancient ethical frameworks, emerging from both Chinese and Greek intellectual traditions, envisioned a unified system of moral principles, such visions remained confined within regional boundaries that stifled their global resonance. A選項“Globalization, which dismantled geographical barriers and facilitated cross-cultural exchange, later exposed the limitations of these parochial visions that had once seemed self-sufficient. 故選A項。37.根據上文“It was not until the Enlightenment that thinkers, drawing upon rationalist philosophies, crystallized concepts of rights around the twin pillars of liberty and equality, embedding these ideals in revolutionary charters that would later shape modern political systems. E選項“Enlightenment ideals thus bore a dual legacy: they held emancipatory potential to liberate individuals from oppressive structures, yet they also carried the imprint of Eurocentric hegemony that sidelined alternative worldviews. 38.根據上文“This inherent contradiction — between universal aspirations and cultural particularism — intensified throughout the 20th century. Even as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) emerged as a symbol of global consensus, G選項“Cold War politics, which fractured the post-war global order, shattered this fragile unity by reducing rights to ideological pawns — either political liberties championed by the West or socioeconomic entitlements advocated by socialist states. 39.根據上文“Contemporary debates, which continue to reverberate in academic and political spheres, reflect this enduring dialectic between unity and diversity. F選項“Critics have rightly asserted that current universal norms, despite their claims to inclusivity, remain disproportionately shaped by Western paradigms that reflect the historical dominance of European powers. 40.根據上文“Amidst these debates, philosopher Kwame Appiah’s concept of “contamination” offers a compelling path forward: (在這些爭論中,哲學家Kwame Appiah的“融合”概念提供了一條令人信服的前進道路:)”可知,此空應解釋這一概念的具體內容。B選項“It suggests that authentic universality, far from arising from enforced uniformity, emerges through the organic hybridization of disparate value systems that engage in dialogue rather than confrontation. 5A.It’s also our job to support adults who need help repairing incomplete life cycles.B.They talk about someone’s inability to support themselves through work.C.It’s being able to show understanding when communicating with others.D.In other words, you’re playing the game of life — life isn’t playing you.E.They teach emotional awareness and management as well as identity.F.You feel like an 18-year old, especially when playing 80s music.G.When this stage is denied it creates a sense of insecurity.(二)(2025·全國二卷·高考真題)Unexpected Benefits of Volunteering as a FamilyAre you looking for a way to bring your family together Hoping to find a hobby that can be shared by both the little ones and adults 6 You may know the “feel-good” emotions that come with helping others, but there are even more unexpected ways volunteering will positively affect the whole family.●You’ll feel like you have more time.People often feel they are too busy to volunteer. With the right planning and care, your DIY herb garden will not only provide you with a bountiful supply of fresh herbs but also become a delightful addition to your home.A.However, it’s important to ensure good air circulation around the plants as well.B.Lavender, on the other hand, is not only great for baking but also has a soothing aroma.C.But achieving a successful herb garden requires careful planning and the right techniques.D.Use a garden fork or tiller to loosen the soil to a depth of about 8-10 inches.E.Determine the size of your garden based on the available space and the number of herbs you want to grow.F.Also, consider the proximity to a water source, as regular watering is essential for herb growth.G.Make sure to space the plants according to their mature size to prevent overcrowding.(八)(2025·浙江溫州·模擬預測)The discourse on universal values, which has unfolded across millennia, carries a history marked by intricate twists and unresolved tensions.
