My favourite festival is the Mid-Autumn Festival.


Christmas：圣誕節又稱耶誕節、耶穌誕辰，譯名為“基督彌撒”，是西方傳統節日，起源于基督教，在每年12月25日。彌撒是教會的一種禮拜儀式。圣誕節是一個宗教節，因為把它當作耶穌的誕辰來慶祝，故名“耶誕節”。

All Saints‘ Day：萬圣節又叫諸圣節，在每年的11月1日，是西方的傳統節日；而萬圣節前夜的10月31日是這個節日最熱鬧的時刻??。在中文里，常常把萬圣節前夜（Halloween）譯為萬圣節。

Simon:And after Thanksgiving dinner,we watch a big football game on TV.
Daming:That’s great!I think I like Thanksgiving too.


Flag Day
美國的國旗日是紀念美國大陸會議1777年6月14日通過美國第一面由貝蒂·羅斯(Betsy Ross)所設計的正式“星條”旗（當年只有13顆星，因為美國獨立時只有13州）?，F在，上面有50顆星。
美國第一次大規模的國旗紀念活動是在1876年慶祝建國100周年時進行的。19世紀90年代,不少公立學校倡議每年在6月14日舉行國旗紀念活動,很快得到了廣泛的響應。1893年費城首先承認6月14日為國旗日。
Thanksgiving Day

感恩節（Thanksgiving Day）是美國人民獨創的一個古老節日，也是美國人合家歡聚的節日。 初時感恩節沒有固定日期，由美國各州臨時決定。直到美國獨立后的1863年，林肯總統宣布感恩節為全國性節日?。1941年，美國國會正式將每年11月第四個星期四定為“感恩節”。感恩節假期一般會從星期四持續到星期天。
1879 年加拿大議會宣稱11月6日是感恩節和全國性的假日。在隨后的年代，感恩節的日期改變了多次，直到在1957 年1月31日，加拿大議會宣布每年十月的第二個星期一為感恩節。
