1. Look at the map. 看這張地圖。
look at 意為“看, 看著”, 強調動作的進行; 而see意為“看, 看見”, 強調動作的結果。例如
Look at the blackboard! 看黑板！Look at me! 看看我！
強調“看”這一動作, 不強調結果。
Can you see me? 你能看見我嗎？(強調結果是看見了, 還是沒看見)
I can see it clearly.
我可以很清楚地看見。(強調結果)

1) look after“照顧，照料”

2) look like“看起來像”

【巧解句構】a map of… “一張……地圖”，
介詞of 意為“的”，介詞短語作后置定語，
修飾名詞map。例如：

3. This is north.
north 名詞或副詞，意為“北方”，south “南方”，east“東方”，west“西方”，但注意：東南用英語表示為“southeast”, south在前，east在后，這與漢語的順序相反。類似的還有：southwest(西南)，northeast(東北), northwest(西北)。如：
Shijiazhuang is southwest of Beijing.
石家莊在北京的西南方。

4. North points up on a map.
point 動詞，意為“指；指向”。與point有關的短語有：point at 意為“指著”，后面接動作的目標，表示用某物對準某人或某物，常指較近的。例如：
The teacher is pointing at the picture on the wall.
老師正指著墻上的畫。
point to 意為“指向”，后接動作的方向，表示用手或指針朝向某人或某物，常指較遠的。
Tom points to the mountain. 湯姆指向遠方的大山。
point 還可作為名詞，意為“點；小數點”。

5.We can see all the countries around the world.
country 名詞,表示“國家”。 country一詞的復數形式是countries,遵循“以輔音字母加y結尾的名詞在由單數變復數時應變y為i再加es”的變化規則。諸如此類的詞還有:baby(嬰兒)—babies,family(家庭)—families。
【拓展】　(1)country作名詞,可以被定冠詞修飾,表示“全國人民”。

(2)country作名詞,還可表示“鄉村,鄉下”。
My grandpa and grandma live in the country.我祖父祖母住在鄉下。
