1. Visit sick children in the hospital.
1) sick和ill兩個(gè)形容詞都有“生病的”意思,在用法上有一些相同的地方,有時(shí)可以互換,但仍有許多不同之處。兩者最大的區(qū)別在于當(dāng)ill作“生病的”之意解時(shí),多與系動(dòng)詞be, feel, become, fall, get, be taken等搭配,用作表語(yǔ),較少用在名詞前面作定語(yǔ)。
e.g. Dave was so ill that he had to stay in bed for a month at least.
