1) 概念: 表示過去某一時刻或某段時間內正進行的動作。
2) 構成: was/were + 動詞現在分詞
3) 用法: a: 表示某一時刻正進行的行為, 與特定的過去時間狀

2. 過去進行時和一般過去時的區別
1) 過去進行時表示過去正在進行的動作,
而一般過去時則表示一個完整的動作。如：
1.They were writing letters to their friends last night.

2.They wrote letters to their friends last night .

表達了他們已寫好的意思, 整個寫的過程已完成

1） 一般動詞在詞尾加-ing, 如go--going。
2) 以不發音字母e結尾的動詞, 去掉e, 再加-ing。

輔音字母結尾, 應先雙寫這個字母, 再加ing。

?? 4. 以when和while引導的時間狀語從句
1) 延續性動詞和非延續性動詞
????延續性動詞指動作可以延續一段時間, 而不是瞬間結束。如: work、study、
drink、eat等。
????非延續性動詞指動作極為短暫，瞬間結束。如: start、begin、hit、
jump、knock等。
2) when和while引導的時間狀語從句。
when表示“當……的時候”。從句中既可用延續性動詞,
又可用非延續性動詞。
