教學過程

Step 1：Warming-up 課前互動 展示關于天氣的圖片，要求學生記憶30秒，然后隨機逐個隱去某圖。要求學生拼讀出對應該圖的英文單詞。 展示關于weather的思維導圖，要求學生說出更多關于天氣的詞語并觀察說出形容詞與名詞的用法。 拋出問題：How to make your journey colorful? 引導學生自由發言，出示本課標題。 按要求積極參與游戲，拼讀單詞；說出盡可能多的有關天氣的詞語，觀察歸納形容詞與名詞用法的不同；討論問題，朗讀標題。 溫故知新，寓教于樂。 拓展思維，導入新課。
Step 2：Foundation and ability 夯實基礎提升能力 呈現本課生詞，指導學生朗讀并拓展詞性變化。指導學生兩人組討論完成Activity 1。指導學生瀏覽美國地圖，快速閱讀短文，找出文章中所提到的各大洲名并教讀發音。展示Activity 3的表格，指導學生細讀課文完成填寫。多媒體展示部分學生答案，予以講評鼓勵。播放錄音，學生跟讀完成。要求學生精讀課文，以小組形式探究課文重點詞句，然后自由讀，齊讀、分組讀課文。. 播放課文動畫。指導學生獨立完成Activity 4中的填空題，要求學生兩人組核對糾錯。指導學生獨立完成Activity 5，朗讀核對答案。指導學生根據實際情況，以小組合作的形式寫下游覽自己家鄉的最佳時間并陳述原因。根據提示句子進行班級匯報，教師點評。 1、朗讀生詞并拓展詞性變化。2、兩人組討論完成Activity 1。3、瀏覽地圖，快速閱讀，找出文中所提到的各大洲名并學會朗讀。4、細讀課文完成表格填寫。 5、跟讀錄音。精讀課文，探究課文重點詞句，然后自由讀，齊讀、分組讀課文。.6、欣賞課文動畫。7、獨立完成Activity 4中的填空題，兩人組核對糾錯。8、獨立完成Activity 5，朗讀核對答案。9、根據實際情況，以小組合作的形式寫下游覽自己家鄉的最佳時間并陳述原因。進行班級匯報。 詞匯過關 培養口語能力 掌握閱讀技巧。 培養朗讀與合作探究能力。 寓教于樂、鞏固課文。 培養寫作與語言的綜合運用能力。

The US is a very big country. It is about 3,000 miles from the east
coast to the west coast, so choose carefully the places to see and the time to go. Bring a map because you may want to travel around.
New York and Washington D.C are good places to visit in May or October, but in winter there is a lot of snow.
The best time to visit New England is in September. The weather gets cooler, and the green leaves start to turn gold, then brown. Bring your camera so you can take photos of the autumn trees.
Reading
California is on the Pacific coast, and the weather is fine all year
round. Take your swimming clothes because you might want to go swimming in the sea, even in December.
In Seattle, in the northwest, it is not very cold but it rains a lot,
so bring an umbrella. In Alaska, the days are long and warm in summer, but may be cool in the evening. In winter, Alaska can be
very very cold. If you want to visit Alaska, you had better go in summer. Do not forget to bring a warm sweater with you.
