注：可通過使用first (首先)和second(其次/第二)等序數詞來表達動作先后順序。也可以用then (然后)來說明中間的步驟。最后的動作可以用finally (最后)來表示。

Nurse: Well, today was a busy day in my office. One boy hurt hemself in
P.E. class.
Teacher: What happened?
Nurse: He was running under the hot sun and then he felt sick and fell
down.
Teacher: Yes, the weather is very hot today.
Nurse: He cut his knee, so I washed the cut and put some medicine on it.
Then I put a bandage on it.
Teacher: Was the cut serious?
Nurse: Not really, but I also took his temperature. Luckily he didn't have
a fever. I told hem he should rest.
Teacher: What else happened?
Nurse: One girl had a nosebleed. I told her to put her head down and then
press the sides of her nose. Oh, and another boy got hit on the head
with a baseball bat.

feel sick “生病; 不舒服; 感覺惡心的”
sick與ill的區別:
(1) ill 表示“患病”之意時,一般用作表語,不作定語。如:
She falls ill. She is ill with fever.
作定語時, ill大都表示“壞的”含義, 例如:
The Blacks had ill luck. 布萊克一家遭了厄運。
(2) sick表示“有病的”,可用作表語或定語, 若表示“厭煩的”, 則
只用作表語，其后通常接介詞 of。如：
John is sick of his job. 約翰討厭他的工作。
用作表語的 sick 還可表示“嘔吐的”或“惡心的”。如：
She feels sick in buses. 她在公共汽車上覺得想嘔。
Language points
2. get hit + on/in the + 身體部位 表示身體部位受傷
in與軟組織搭配, 如: face, stomach, eye ; on與硬組織搭配, 如: shoulder, head, back, mouth。
“get+過去分詞”是一個比較常用的結構, 在此get用來代替助動詞be和過去分詞連用, 構成被動結構, 表示某一事件或事故的發生, 著重強調動作。
My brother got hit by a stone. 我哥被一塊石頭擊中了。
I got dressed as quickly as I could. 我盡快穿好衣服。
She got caught by the police. 她讓警察給抓住了。
I got caught in the rain on the way home.
我在回家的路上遇到雨。

3. What happened?
happen “發生,碰巧”, 是不及物動詞。
1) sth. happen +時間/地點. “某地/某時發生了某事”
The story happened in 1992.
An accident happened in that street.
2) sth. happen to sb. “某人發生了某事(常指不好的事)”
A car accident happened to her this morning.
What happened to you? 你怎么啦？
3) sb. + happen + to do sth. “某人碰巧做某事”
I happened to meet a friend of mine in the street yesterday.
4) It happens / happened that... “碰巧發生某事”
It happened that Peter was at home that day.
Language points
One student acts as a doctor, other students act as patients. Role-play conversations between the doctor and the patients.
