Hello.We are students from Thailand, and we want to save the elephants.The elephant is one of Thailand's symbols. Our first flag had a white elephant on it. This is a symbol of good luck.

Elephants are smart animals. They can play soccer or music. They can also draw very well. People say that“an elephant never forgets”. Elephants can walk for a long time and never get lost. They can also remember places with food and water. This helps them to live.
But elephants are in great danger.People cut down many trees so elephants are losing their homes. People also kill elephants for their ivory. Today there are only 3,000 elephants (over 100,000 before). We must save the trees and not buy things made of ivory. Remember that March 13th is Thai Elephant Day.

3. 1) lost 作為形容詞，表示“走失的；迷路的；失散的”、“丟失的；遺失的”，常與系動詞get 或be 一同構成短語，表示“丟失；走失；迷路”。例如：

真是倒霉！我的鑰匙又丟了。
I got lost on my way here and had to ask the police for help. 我在來這的路上迷路了，不得不向警察求助。
2) lost 還經常直接用于名詞之前，作定語修飾名詞。例如：
a lost child 走丟了的孩子
the lost tourists 迷了路的游客們
a lost watch 一塊遺失的手表
4. (be) in danger 表示“在危險中” 例如：
Firefighters are often in great danger.
消防員常常處于很危險的境地。
英語中，常用形容詞big或great 與danger搭配，表示“巨大的危險”。
(be) out of danger, 表示“脫離危險”。

5. cut down 砍倒，減少，降低，縮短
